Boy’s Birthday Cakes

Models of cars, vans, and caravans

There’s loads of things to do on the cake along side your edible vehicle… have a look at these for inspiration and give us a call!

Teenage girl 3D models

We make a lot of edible sugar paste models, and they are a really popular option with teenagers. To the left is a gymnast in her orange leotard, and to the right is a model of a girl with a lot of shopping bags! We’ve made loads of sugar paste models of teenage girls with make up, shopping, mobile phones, laptops… anything you’d like we can do… just ask!

Number cakes for kids

I love number cakes for kids – they can be decorated with simple 2D cartoons, cut out shapes or patterns, or even 3D models! Pick your flavour, colour, and come see us with a basic idea and we can quote you for all your options!

Madagascan themed wedding cake

This 18″ shaped chocolate cake was made from a few designs brought to us by the bride and groom. The wedding had a Madagascan theme – and the whole cake design was based upon the movie Madagascar. The hippos, lake, and trees are all edible. We love it when we get the chance to make unusual wedding cakes – this cake could cover anniversaries, engagements, and birthdays! If you would like a cartoon inspired cake get in touch for ideas

Charlie’s first birthday farmyard cake

Charlie’s mum brought us a photo of a cake she loved but wanted it shaped as a number one. We took that design and changed it slightly to fit around the one and into her budget, but in keeping with the general theme of the cake. I love making cake with lots of little details, and I love animals too – so this is my favourite kind of cake to do! I may even make this for my daughter’s first birthday I love it so much. If you have seen a cake you like, or want to design something from scratch – get in contact with us. If you come to the shop we will design something that’s perfect for your occasion and budget.

Edible football players

A really popular way to make a football cake is to have a sat down sugar paste person in the right kit – sometimes we get asked to make the players! To the left is an old Stoke player, Stanley Matthews, in the old Stoke kit. To the right is Wayne Rooney cake and he’s obviously in the man united kit. The Stoke cake has red stripes on it too! If you’d like a model of a player, we can google it, but if you’d like a model of the birthday boy or girl please bring us a photo.

Boy and girl castles

Here are 2 examples of how you can change our designs to your personal taste. The chocolate castle to the left is based upon a cake made for Chris by his mum when he was a little boy – which I replicated with chocolate paste and a 6″ chocolate cake. His mum has some little toy knights to go on top – but we can make edible ones if you like. To the right is a 6″ sponge cake made to be a flowery hill, with a totally edible sugar paste castle on top. Ellouise drew us a picture of the castle she wanted. Castle cakes are popular for boys and girls in whatever colours and sizes to suit your party

Little Oliver and his boxer dog

Oliver’s nan ordered him an edible model of him and his best friend. When she came to collect it she told me I had made Oliver’s mum a cake for her 30th – with a boxer and tiny baby – but I can’t find the photo. Maybe I’ll do one every year and he’ll get bigger each cake (or the dog will get smaller – tricks of the trade). Here’s waiting till he’s 2!

Balamory cake for Harriet

I love a detailed 2D cake – this design was brought to us by Harriet’s Grandad who found the image on line, and brought it to us. I’ve never watched Balamory but I knew that there are colourful houses, and I love this design so we stuck to it exactly, only changed the wording. If you have a photo of a cake you love and would like a quote, email us or pop into the shop with a photo and we can help personalise it to you, or quote you for the exact thing in your choice of size and flavour!

Super Mario cake

Super Mario is always popular! This cake was actually designed by Tai’s mum – she drew us a coloured drawing of the top of the cake, and gave us an idea of what she wanted around the edge – and we did the rest! We have done similar designs for Sonic too! Just click on the ‘nerdy’ tagline to see more
