This Guinness cake is made from a 12″ sponge, and the detail is all hand piped. The board is iced for the message and candles, which we kept in black, white and gold. This can be done with any kind of drink – just bring us a photo. You could also add a human figure next to the cake if you like?

Vegas inpired gambling cake for Liam’s 18th!
I love a themed cake – this 2 tier (12″ and 9″) gambling cake was for Liam’s 18th birthday. It has a roulette wheel at the top, edible money dice and chips, Las Vegas sign, and cards! I like it when a customer leaves it with me and I always get carried away. This cake is available in larger or smaller sizes to suit the amount of guests
Joint party cakes – different generations
Joint parties are a tricky one – do you have 2 cakes? or one cake thats generic and would do either person? Another option is to have 3D models, maybe allocate a corner for each person. We are getting asked quite a lot for this design – to have models of the people, which we can always add things to (see right – football/reading) or just make you look like a happy family all sat together. This can be used for birthdays, anniversaries/engagements, or even weddings. Tatty teddy malteaser cake
We get asked a lot if we can mix 2 cakes from the website together – this is a mixture of the tatty teddy one (from a card brought to us by David’s wife), the malteaser cake, and a wedding cake where the bride and groom are eating the chocolate cake! The teddy is edible and we also used chocolate curls around the edge instead of chocolate paste. If you like a few designs but can’t think of a way to combine them, come and see us – we have a lot of imagination to throw at your cake design.

Gardening cakes
Here are a few examples of gardening cakes which we can do for birthdays, anniversaries, or retirements! Whether it’s flowers, shrubs, or veggies, gardening cakes are always a popular choice for many occasions. We can do just the garden, lawn mowers etc, people, sheds, anything you can imagine out of sugar paste. Chess board (without the chess pieces)
Alan loves playing chess – so his family ordered him a chess board cake (made from chocolate sponge) and added their own chess pieces to it! If you prefer you can order it with sugar paste pieces on, or I can make chocolate chess pieces too!
Gavin’s triathalon inspired cake
Gavin loves triathalons – so with that in mind (and a 12″ cake in hand) we designed this cake for him! We’ve never made a triathalon cake before, so we had to research it. We included the cycling, running and swimming involved. The bike has a lot of wire involved but otherwise the cake is entirely edible! We wrote the message in blue for his football team Chelsea. Military birthday cakes
Here are some military style cakes for elderly people – a navy man eating sweets (surrounded by sports things) and a lady from the Wren sat on an edible navy ship! If you’d like something military please bring us a photo of the uniform and we can make it edible for you.
Edible football players
A really popular way to make a football cake is to have a sat down sugar paste person in the right kit – sometimes we get asked to make the players! To the left is an old Stoke player, Stanley Matthews, in the old Stoke kit. To the right is Wayne Rooney cake and he’s obviously in the man united kit. The Stoke cake has red stripes on it too! If you’d like a model of a player, we can google it, but if you’d like a model of the birthday boy or girl please bring us a photo.
