Facebook Cake

This is a first – a facebook cake! Jonathan asked for the cake for his fiance, whom he chatted up with the line ‘I’ve got a facebook’. So with that knowledge, and the order of a 6″ cake, he left me to it! Some of this is cut out of sugar paste, but the most of it is drawn on with edible pens. There’s loads of little details on it – even a nod to our facebook page in the bottom left hand corner! We specialise in the more inventive cakes… We’ve got creative coming out of our pores! If you have an idea no matter how random, just ask us for a design and We’ll show you what we can do for you.

Super Mario cake

Super Mario is always popular! This cake was actually designed by Tai’s mum – she drew us a coloured drawing of the top of the cake, and gave us an idea of what she wanted around the edge – and we did the rest! We have done similar designs for Sonic too! Just click on the ‘nerdy’ tagline to see more

Sonic the hedgehog cake (2D)

This Sonic cake is made from a 9″ cakes but is available in smaller and larger sizes! 2D characters are really effective, and can be printed onto a cake or, like this cake, can be cut out of icing! If you’d like a computer game character there are loads of ways of making a cake to the theme, so get in touch with us

Skyrim dragon cake

This edible Skyrim dragon cake is made from a 9″ sponge covered in black sugar paste, complete with silver logo and the birthday boy’s age in Roman numerals. The dragon is totally edible (although most likely kept as a keepsake) and made from flower paste. He took forever to make but was worth it! I offered to deliver this cake as I was worried it wouldn’t make it to Stoke in one piece – but he got there fine! If you’d like a dragon model on top of your cake please contact us with as much notice as possible so we can start on the model with enough time.

Companion Cube

This companion cube cake is from the game ‘Portal’. It is 2 layers of 6″ sponge, but is available in larger sizes too! We’ve done similar with Mario computer games! It’s always useful if you bring us photos of things like this… I’m pretty nerdy, but I don’t always know these things without research, so it makes giving you a quote faster if you can bring or email us a photo.

Pokemon 2D picture

Ben’s girlfriend brought me a photo of his favourite character from Pokemon and designed this entire cake for me! All I had to do was make it! The writing for his name is took from the Pokemon writing, and has little pokeballs surrounding it on the board. If you have a favourite character from Pokemon or a different cartoon altogether, we can adapt this design to that character!

Xbox controller

This is a tiny edible Xbox controller cake. I have made Wii remotes also, in the past. The Xbox controller comes in white or black… to the right is the white version. It’s made from a 6″ cake, which makes it the same size as an actual controller! It will feed about 8-10 people. If that’s not enough sponge for you, then you could always make it an accompaniment to a real size edible Xbox! Or have an edible game next to it, which would feed more, and make it abit more personal to the birthday boy/girl.

If you’d like a Nintendo or Sony version, just ask and We’ll draw up some ideas to your sizes and budget.

Luke’s lego cake

Luke wanted a sugarpaste legoman on his 6″ sponge cake, and as an extra we made little sugarpaste lego bricks around the edge!!

We’ve recently made a lego Indiana Jones version of this cake, which I will add to this blog as soon as I can! If you have a favourite lego character, just ask and we will make it however you like!

Please contact us for more information or pop into the shop!

Abigail’s liverpool and Xbox cake

Abigail’s mum couldn’t decide between Xbox or Liverpool, so I designed a cake for her that covered both and wrote a message on the board. This design can be adapted to any hobbies if you use your imagination, and if you can’t then I can design it for you!

This cake was a 9″ madeira and a 6″ chocolate.

Can’t get him off the computer?

Here’s an edible desk, made from a 6″ sponge, with sugarpaste models all over it to look like computer parts!

I can make whatever models you like :)
